We've had a puppy boom among our friends. Over the weekend, we met Katie and Jim's little Peanut (a Goldendoodle) and Kelly and Scott's Stanley (a Bichon). Peanut discovered that she's not the only dog in the world, the two pooches had the most adorable chase, and we shared an amazing Sunday roast at Scott and Kelly's (Stanley even got treated to some lamb.) I remembered these super cute sailor knot collars from Mascot. Aren't they fun? They remind me of the Nantucket knot bracelets (you can find in color now) that were glued to my wrist for many summers at camp.

What tops a super adorable greeting card? One that gives back to an incredible cause. I love Hooray for the Underdog's line of everyday cards, journals, and file folders. The photography and styling by Healey Grisham is spot on fantastic, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of each card directly goes to helping grassroots animal welfare groups. Plus, the dogs posing in these insanely cute photographs are all rescue pups!

My favorite pooch in the neighborhood, Molly, got a bath over the weekend. I was hanging out with Doug and Sue-Anne (Molly's doting owners) and this adorable Corgi mix during bathtime. Like many dogs, Molly's not a fan of the bath. So we discovered the 3 necessities for an efficient, pleasant dog bath for all. Lavender mint dog shampoo + yummy treats + Yenithing bath apron = good bath. Here's why:

{1} We used Cloud Star's Buddy Wash + Rinse natural shampoo in a lavender mint fragrance. It's botanical, alcohol-free, and safe for your pooch. Molly was a stinker before and came out of bathtime smelling fantastic! {Above right, Molly was saying "do I offend?"}

{2} We used these natural peanut butter dog treats by Harry Barker to coax Molly into staying in the tub — a little bribery never hurt. And these treats are made of goodness: hypo-allergenic, salt-free, sugar- free, preservative-free, wheat-free. (You can eat them, they're so natural.)

{3} But the Yenithing apron was the best essential of all: Doug actually walked out of bathtime with a dry T-shirt and could move straight to cooking soup without a wardrobe change. Genius!  And after the bath is over, you use the apron to wrap up your pooch (or tot) to dry.

I spied this most adorable dog bone soap on Rose & Radish, and it happens to be made with goodness (50 percent olive oil) by a favorite company of mine, Saipua. I'm thinking this dog soap has got to be put on a gift list for Molly, so she can smell her best. I have a people soap by Saipua that was a total treat when I found them at the Brooklyn Flea (sorry for annoying flash ad but this is a good read.) Meet the Secretary of Cuteness, miss Molly sunshine. This Corgi-mix with her Kate Bosworth eyes and ballerina stance has stolen my heart.
