Apologies for the long radio silence. Things have been nonstop over here and I have yet to feel that summer exhale of kicking back and enjoying the sunshine. I've also caught myself complaining about the heat here in the city way too much. It's safe to say 90 degree humid heat in Brooklyn is just not my thing. So my daydreams keep going to Maine, where it's easy to jump in a lake when you get hot, mornings are crisp and cool, and everything feels easier. This print above is from a new shop headed up by designer Tyler Karu (whose Maine farmhouse was featured on Design Sponge). I adore her shop's neon orange silkscreen print of Maine. We now have this Maine map hung in our apartment framed in a rustic barnwood frame designed by this favorite shop (I will share a picture once I figure out what's wrong with my Nikon.) In the meanwhile, I think I have a few more weeks of nonstop, and then I plan to be more present here. Here's hoping you're having plenty of time in your summer to daydream, jump in the water, and eat melty ice cream. xo Jen
ps. For those of you who are mamas and mamas-to-be, I'm wondering if you'd be interested in any of these topics I've been thinking of sharing on the blog? If you have a chance and want to let me know what you'd love to hear about, I'd welcome any feedback. Thanks!
Topics I'm thinking about: cloth diapering, my go-to baby shower gifts, my list of baby essentials, my must-haves for making baby food, options when you don't have time for homemade baby food, favorite books...
