On Thursday evening, I went into what turned out to be early labor, which then stopped to our surprise. So it's been an up and down kind of few days. My checkup with my midwife went really well today, and it looks like we're going to meet our little bean sooner than later. I'm feeling calm and excited all rolled in one. With each day of this pregnancy, I've learned more about myself and my inner resilience, so I'm feeling grateful to have had these few extra days, which turned out to be really sweet and reflective. (But don't get me wrong — super anxious to meet our little one and cannot wait to have a lighter belly!)
My friend Charlotte (who shot our wedding) took some photos of me with her fun film cameras. I was really bad about taking photos throughout my pregnancy (my suggestion to all is invest in a tripod and timer early to make it easy to shoot yourself as the weeks progress), so I'm so happy to have a few special shots of me in my final 9th month. I must also say that I'm the worst model (notorious eye closer), so I was surprised that a whole bunch of photos turned out so well. Charlotte, thank you for these photos — they feel so me.
Be back soon when baby's on the other side! xo Jen
