I was looking through some scribbled notes in an old notebook and was reminded of a favorite find from the Gift Show last winter. Cardboard Design created a Wish Wall. The idea is so simple, but the honeycomb cardboard wall looks so graphic and cool, especially when you stick in the slips of different colored paper. The Wishing Wall would be a fun alternative to a guestbook at a wedding (obvious use.) But I also love the idea of bringing a bit of cardboard fantasy into your home. You could fill it regularly with special wishes — how fun would that be to read through hundreds of wishes at the end of the year. Some of my wishes would be: lemon basil ice cream on a sugar cone, the patience to start and finish a circle quilt, a spontaneous roadtrip with Dan, 27 hours in the day, and a bag by ForestBound. What would you wish for?
