I don't know about you, but I get bored with water. I like water. I constantly battle dehydration, so I know I need to drink lots of water. But when I'm not working out or running around town with my water bottle, I like to drink something with a little flavor, especially with meals. I now steer away from the vitamin water bunch, knowing full well those drinks are chock full of sugar and calories. Lemonade is apparently the enemy of tooth enamel, according to a disappointed-with-my-progress dentist. But I found my solution!
A month ago, my acupuncturist suggested I start drinking blueberry water — basically a a small swish of pure blueberry juice in a glass of water. Blueberry infused water. It doesn't hit with you with that heavy, sweet taste, like a glass of pure juice does. And it's not blah, like water sometimes tastes to me. I've found myself drinking even more water, because I love the flavor. She told me to look for Just Blueberry juice (everything else is a mix of other juices.) I was excited to find a bottle of Just Blueberry at Trader Joe's for half the price of the same juice at the health food store (the only other place where I've spotted it so far.) Since you're just putting a shot of juice in your water, the $4 bottle will last through several thirsty weeks. I also love my blueberry juice mixed with a little sparkling water.
