It's the first day of October, how did that even happen?! As fall marches on, I guess it's not too soon to be thinking about calendars for the new year. I don't use my calendar for keeping appointments (now that I'm in the clouds with MobileMe), but I love to have a pretty, paper calendar to look at dates. Alicia Bock takes such inspiring polaroids, and she's pulled together two 2010 polaroid calendars. One calendar is a collection of her polaroids from Paris! You can find them both in her shop. I love to gift calendars as well, as everyone loves a special calendar to take them through the year.
And I'm super excited for what's on my October calendar: next week I'm starting a class on furniture upholstery at the Furniture Joint! The class is taught by Matthew Haly, and I've been wanting to take this class literally for a year. I'm feeling some first day of class jitters that I won't be able to master folding immaculate corners and some of the other cool skills I'll be learning. I hear the final project is taking an ottoman from frame to completed form! Wow!! I'll see if I can snap some photos during class to share.
