Sometimes I really wish I had a friend in England — someone to be on the British end of an international care package swap. I'll trade you three UK finds from my wishlist for whatever your heart desires from New York. I often stumble on an amazing collection or artist, and then I spot that pound symbol next to the price, staring me square in the face. Dear United Kingdom, could you please lower your shipping costs to Brooklyn?
My current British obsession is Caroline Zoob. I even like saying her name. And that vintage fabric and wood boat is so darling. I could see that boat in so many spaces: a bathroom, a bedroom windowsill, a fireplace mantel, or the shelf of a kid's room. Antique handcrafted boat, I'd like to sail away with you.
I'd like to run away with a couple rolls of star tape.
And add this sailing boat plate to my care package — that would look so fun hung on a kitchen wall.
