My big apartment projects planned are on temporary hold: I've been sick since the weekend and have felt worn out all week. But I was able to tackle some organizing in the bathroom. (Please excuse the ugly sink pipe in photo — but I thought it'd be cool to see how well the containers worked!) One fantastic feature of our new apartment — the bathroom has not one, but two sinks. It's the first time I haven't had a medicine cabinet to organize toiletries. Dan wanted a clutter-free bathroom — meaning all of the toiletries I've squirreled away had to find a home hidden under my sink (not in containers out and about in the bathroom.) And his sink is all his — I could not cross boundaries! Mission accomplished. Muji to the rescue.
These Muji containers were my lifesaver — organizing everything neatly under my sink, so it's easy to pull out a bin and find what I need. I love that these modern plastic containers have handles, stack, and are super easy to clean. Plus, square is always more space-saving than round, so I could really pack in the containers under my sink. I organized by height — my giant bottles of hair product and contact solution got stashed in one large container. My travel toiletries, lip balms, hand creams — little stuff— went in one small container and makeup + hair accessories went in another small bin. Those stack nicely on the left. Two large containers in the back round out the stash of lotions and shower gels. Everything miraculously fits! Dan was pleasantly surprised, too.
