Yesterday I was in Bryant Park for the afternoon. I think the best way to describe the scene would be "spring fever." It wasn't the warmest of days, but somewhere in the middle of the afternoon the sun peeked out. What better place to be than a park when the sun decides to show up in the middle of a rainy week?
One big perk of being on my own — I can camp out at Bryant Park on Mondays and save an enviable spot on the lawn for us to catch a classic flick in the park's HBO Summer Film Festival. (An old movie is shown on a big screen in the park right at dusk each summer Monday.) Dan hasn't experienced Bryant Park Monday movies since moving to New York, and I used to love going to see those old films outside when I first moved to the city. Any movie night out in the park will surely involve food — and I think I'm going to make bento boxes like Lara of Piewacket.
On another note, I'm making two announcements today — fun ones. I'd love it if you stopped by later to see what's up.
