The spring + summer months here are much too precious not to savor every last warm evening — yet somehow I always seem to waste way too many weekends doing stuff that feels oh so important. I'm trying to change that this year. Because in the end, the emails, projects, and piles of laundry will still be there tomorrow. A glorious evening calls for a spontaneous picnic. I met Dan after work on Friday at our local park and brought a medley of foods that I'd picked up from Whole Foods on my way home. The feast included artichoke pizza, edamame hummus + chips, pesto pasta salad, mini sandwiches, and a little sampling from the Indian hot bar (for me.) But mostly, it was a beautiful timeout after a long week. I highly recommend a spontaneous picnic.
