It's my birthday tomorrow, and I've already received a sweet present. One of my favorite sites for inspiration, 100 Layer Cake, (where I have been a reader since day one) featured our Maine wedding — what an absolute treat!! I could blab on and on about how the Super8 video is the best thing we spent money on, and how the video brings us right back to that amazing day every time we watch it. But instead I think you'll get what I mean best when you see the video.
A sincere thank you to 100 Layer Cake for featuring our wedding! We're so thrilled to be a part of such a beautiful site — and I can't say enough how amazed I am by the 100 Layer Cake team. I'm pretty sure I've blogged about this already, but it's worth saying again. 100 Layer Cake is not a blog just for brides. It's more of an inspiration think tank.
One more thing. I spent our 9-month engagement crafting together our wedding in a way that felt genuinely us. So finding the right photographer to capture those meaningful details — and help us look good (when Dan and I feel like the most unphotogenic people on earth!) — was super important to us. Our wedding photographer, Charlotte Jenks Lewis, is my hero. Charlotte and her incredible team captured on film the day, the details, and all those little moments that give me the butterflies when we look back. Now we have 1000+ photos we love, a Super8 film (our favorite memento), and I also picked up a great friend in Charlotte. What a deal. Thank you, Charlotte!
