Somehow it's May, but spring seems to still be in hiding. Since it's Friday, and we could all use some sunshine, I thought I'd share some photos from my recent beach getaway for the wedding of two dear friends. (I cropped the frames of the polaroids since I thought it looked neater here.) I don't have a ton of links or service to share with this post, but I did come away with a few little lessons learned (see below.) Hope you enjoy the eye candy — it was a beautiful, intimate wedding filled with happiness. [Congratulations Kevin + Ali!]
+ If you're headed to a destination wedding, go early (if you can at all swing it.) We headed down the Saturday before the wedding, and it felt like we'd had an entire vacation with friends before wedding festivities even kicked off. And it gave us time to explore — or just soak in the sun (with a ton of SPF.)
+ sunsets on a beach are still special (even on cloudy days)
+ if you like a pina colada, you'll like one even more with a drizzle of chambord
+ if you're an avid picture-taker like me, be sure to get of photo of yourself, too. (the handle & spout flower pins are so fun to wear!)
+ kids add so much to the party — and flower girls are even more darling with a flower crown
+ I'll never watch the moment here comes the bride without tearing up.
+ a super fun idea for a beach wedding: a mojito bar
+ everyone loves a Polaroid picture — it's a fun way to chronicle any party!
(p.s. Polaroid has been saved)
Off to sign the lease!! Happy Friday!
