Last night, I braved the bitter cold to attend the opening for West Elm's newest Manhattan store (a supersized Uptown space.) The most fun part was seeing what David Stark's design team created using leftover packaging from the move (boxes, boxes, and more boxes) — I loved the cardboard clocks! Here's a sneak peek of what David's team designed— everything was auctioned off last night with proceeds benefiting the Cooper-Hewitt Museum. In a word: impressive. (I'll be sharing more from the auction tomorrow.)
I took some photos of West Elm finds that were new to me — and some things I'd spotted in the catalog that looked even better in person (don't you love when that happens.) Most everything is available online, or you can find at your local West Elm. For all of you in New York, the new West Elm store is doing a promotion today: free delivery for anything any furniture you buy — a sweet deal if you're in the market for furniture.
