My love affair with Paris began on a European adventure with Dan during a blustery, magical week in February — now I understand what all the fuss is about. I wish I could go back and experience Paris in the spring, summer, fall (and who am I kidding, another winter trip would be amazing, too.) Until then, I dream of Paris.
Croissants every morning would be my wish — if only that wouldn't cause muffin tops over jeans. But a flaky morning treat now and then is bliss. The photograph above is copyright of Aran Goyoaga, whose blog, Cannelle et Vanille, is my latest blog crush as the photos are equally as delicious as the food. Check out Aran's homemade croissants.
I couldn't choose just one print to share from photographer Kari Herer's shop — and you know how I love poppies. These Paris flower market photographs and a quintessential view of the Eiffel tower (above) are simply stunning. Four favorite photographs: Paris Market no. 3970; Paris Market no. 3454; Paris print; Paris Market 3456.
From modern Paris cards to a gypsy bundle of found Parisian ephemera — I want it all.
Comptoir de Famille is a French company that now sells its lovely Frenchie goods stateside. I adore their glass milk bottles. And French cotton tea towels with juicy color stripes are just my style.
Sadly we missed out on seeing the amazing Paris flea market. Another reason to go back.

I'll take one box of macarons (just for me —no sharing.)

Ooh La La, I just spotted this silkscreened canvas bag that I want to bring home.
My friend Sue-Anne, the master knitter, shared these photos of the French yarn shop, La droguerie, which looks like a knitter's heaven. More rainbows — smile.
I'm placing an order for this collector's guide to Paris on a budget, thanks to Stephanie.
Lovers smooching in Paris, sigh. {photograph by Henrik Berger Jørgensen}
A clip from my favorite French film (actually favorite film, period): Amelie. I don't think it gets more romantic than riding a bike through the streets of Paris with your love.
E. Dehillerin is a fantastic cooking supply shop where you can pick up classics, like a madeline pan.
Accessorize with a flower brooch made of ruffled French script fabric. Call it a love letter brooch.
Shake up a Paris snowglobe (made in France), or wrap presents in a sheet of pretty Paris gift wrap.
What's always around my neck these days: a necklace with our names hand-stamped on charms from Parcel and a gold Eiffel tower charm scored at a tiny shop right by the famous structure.
The best chain restaurant in the world (in my opinion) is Le Pain Quotidien — they serve their lattes in traditional bowls. {image via smorgasbite} You can add a French flair to your house front with a fleur-de-lis house sign.
The cheapest airfare for one round-trip nonstop flight between New York and Paris for a week's stay (just found rate on Kayak.) Pack your bags — the departure flight leaves Monday, March 26th.

Need a place to stay? We loved the Villa Mazarin, a cozy-meets-modern hotel located in a prime part of Le Marais district. The blue walls of our room there inspired a blue bedroom at home.
Dan + me in front of a carousel in Paris. Au revoir!
