two reasons why I must make it to the Brimfield market this year:
1. every morning I stand on my toilet to check my outfit using my medicine cabinet mirror (yes, really)
When we moved into our place, minus a full-length mirror, I resisted buying an over-the-door mirror sans personality that you see everywhere. I thought, if I can't have my gorgeous vintage mirror, well then I have better places to spend $40. Two years later, the piggy bank still doesn't have the funds for a mirror like this one, which I spotted on Gardenhouse Decor. One of my 2009 resolutions: go to the big, amazing Brimfield antique show, find a mirror in my budget, and refinish it (if needed) with a candy-gloss coat of paint.
2. I need frames. I need A LOT of frames.
When it comes to prints and photographs, my eyes are bigger than my walls. I keep tagging prints and photos on Etsy, Flickr, and around the web that I want for my home — I'd love to have a gallery wall of framed art. It's hard to find simple, affordable frames here in New York. There's one frame shop I love, but I'd like to see what the market has in the way of simple wood and metal frames — hopefully buckets of frames to pick through.

The Brimfield market runs three times a year — I hope to be there in May for the first run! Anyone else planning to go? I'd love any recommendations as it's been five years since my last (brief) trip there. I've been dying to go back since.
p.s. thanks to Gardenhouse for the inspirational shiny happy mirror!
